Dear faithful prayer partner,
As I was looking at the date, realizing that another newsletter is due,
I began to think of the fact that Edwin and I have been in ministry
together for over twenty-five years now. Many of you have been with
us from day one and many are newcomers. I look back and think of
God's faithfulness to us in trying times as well as successful times.
Through it all, may His name be lifted high and his name be praised.
If you have been with us for the long haul, you will be surprised that
I, Evie have been writing so often. Usually it has been my handsome
husband. There are two possibilities to this, one is that we have had
positive feedback from my newsy letters or that Edwin has been on the go so
much he hasn't stopped long enough to write. The truth is (drum
roll), both! :-) I know I have asked you to pray for Edwin's
health. The Lord has given him incredible strength and endurance for
the tasks He is providing. God is blessing wonderfully! This
year for Ewdin is already jam-packed with ministry opportunities taking him
all over the world. As you receive this letter, we will just have
returned from preaching in London on Easter Sunday and the following it up
with a vision trip to Tunisia.
One exciting bit of news is that Edwin and I are in the midst of moving
to the Atlanta area. As I say good-bye to a very special church
family at South Kendall in Miami, God is opening the door for me to serve
at Grace Church. Below is a temporary address for this month
only. Next letter we will be able to give you a new permanent
address. I am very excited and ask for your prayers as we make this
transition. One very positive side of this move is that we will be
only three hours from Jenny. Please keep her in your prayers.
She is still looking for a permanent church, a better job and the right
educational program to suit her needs. She is thrilled that we will
be closer to her. This is good!
Please pray as Edwin is also working on a strategic conference for the
first week of September in Central America. The purpose will be to
train trainers of missionaries from Latin America in preparation to be sent
out to the sensitive parts of the world.
